trouble sleepingTrouble Sleeping?

Im having trouble sleeping.. any tips?
First, try and determine what is causing this problem. Having trouble sleeping can be caused from stress, too much caffeine late in the day, or medical problems such as restless leg syndrome. Once you can find the underlying cause of this problem you can work on the cause to better improve your sleeping patterns.

In general you should not drink caffeine more than 3 hours before you go to bed as this will cause you to stay awake. Also, a warm cup of chamomile tea works wonders. You can also try reading, the back and forth eye movement you practice when reading mimics the eye movement in REM sleep, causing you to feel sleepy.
At bath and body works they have a spray that helps you fall alseep, I think it jsut tricks you into thinking ittrouble sleeping will help therefore it helps. Also take tylenol PM on nights that you really cant sleep. Its amazing and non habit forming


I usually take a hot shower and then try to read something. It usually works for me.
When I can't sleep I go out and run a mile or so, come back tired, shower and usually fall right to sleep.
Relax before you sleep. Have warm milk, it helps. Make sure you make you mind free and then sleep not worrying about anything.
try something enjoyable and something that expends alot of energy, sex for example
Do you have this problem all of the time? I usually only sleep under 4 hours a day, which isn't a problem for me. When people sleep at night, they usually only get 2-4 hours of beneficial R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) sleetrouble sleepingp. The problem is that it usually takes 6-10 hours for most people to get those 2-4 hours of R.E.M. I go into a R.E.M. state almost immediately, so I have no problems with feeling tired afterwards. I actually HATE sleeping. It is such a waste of time. Think about it: if you sleep 8 hours a day, when you turn 30, you've slept for 10 years of your life!!! That is rediculous!!!!
Visualize the outcome you wish to have...thats how the great people do it.
