I have a 5 yr old MA Tech desktop and run disc cleanup and defrag about every 2 weeks. I use Gimp 2 and Photoscape. Lately things seem a little sluggish; is the CCleaner effective and will it do more than I am already doing? If not, any suggestions.
1. Go to the Control Panel
? Start
? Control Panel
? Add/Remove Programs
? Delete redundant programs - Be careful what you delete
? Restart
2. Run the Disk Cleccleaner free downloadanup Utility
3. Run Check Disk & fix any System problems
? Hold the Windows Key & r
? RUN
? Type → chkdsk /r
? Reboot & allow to run through the process

No, cCleaner is not the answer. It simply can't make Windows run faster.
My best guess is your REAL problem is Windows (XP?) "bit-rot":
Re-install Windows, at least twice a year, using an NTFS (not Fat32) file system, which never needccleaner free downloads a Defrag. And, Back Up your personal Data files, FIRST.
ccleaner is the good software to use you can use as your need. It also helps to optimize registry due to this facility you can make your registry error free and reduced in size. so carry on and use this program-me rapidely.
CCLeaner is pretty good and it's free. Will it solve your problems? Dunno, but it's worth a try.
