I have a Toshiba laptop and when I tried to download Adobe Reader 9 it didn't work on my laptop. It said something failed. How can I download Adobe Acrobat/Reader 9 or 8 for free for my laptop? Some links would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is for version 9. Download it, and then rudownload adobe reader 9n it after you download it.
Again, this is for the reader... you can't create PDF files with it.
Now, if you want to create PDF files for free, you should consider Cute PDF Writer
It installs Cute PDF to your list of Printers. Just go into any program that you want to create a document with, and then choose to print it. When the print menudownload adobe reader 9 comes up, choose Cute PDF from the list, and you will be prompted for a file name. That's all it takes. You will end up with a PDF file of whatever you were going to print.
